Your Privacy Choices

1. Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Planning Consult account at any time. We immediately revoke all your active sessions, anonymise your statements and constraint checks, and retain only what we're legally required to keep (payment receipts for accounting, fraud-prevention records).

From the iOS app

1. Open the Planning Consult app
2. Tap the Account tab
3. Scroll to the Danger zone section
4. Tap Delete my account and confirm

From the web

1. Sign in at consult.planninghandbook.com
2. Open the Account page from your dashboard
3. Scroll to the Danger zone section
4. Type the confirmation phrase and submit

Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.

2. Export your data

You can request a copy of all data we hold about you — your account details, planning statements drafted for you, and constraint check history. We'll send a structured export within 30 days, free of charge.

Email [email protected] with the subject "Data export request" and the email address you registered with.

3. Correct your data

If any data we hold about you is inaccurate, you can correct it directly:

• Your name and email — from your dashboard's Account page
• The content of any drafted planning statement — from the statement's Wizard page

For corrections to data you can't edit yourself, email [email protected].

4. Restrict or object to processing

You can ask us to limit how we use your data, or object to certain types of processing (such as analytics that aren't strictly necessary). Email [email protected] describing what you want restricted. We aim to respond within 7 days and complete the request within 30.

5. Withdraw consent

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time:

• Marketing emails — use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or update your preferences from the dashboard Account page
• Cookie consent — see our Cookies Policy for managing cookies in your browser

6. Lodge a complaint

If you believe we're not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113. We'd welcome the chance to resolve things directly first — see below.
